EMIRATES INTERNATIONAL PEACE MUSIC FESTIVAL INSPIRES AUDIENCE FOR 9TH CONSECUTIVE YEAR

Abu Dhabi, UAE: 22nd March 2013: As part of its five-date tour of the Emirates, the 9th Emirates International Peace Music Festival charmed an excited Abu Dhabi Theatre audience last night, with the Emirates Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Premiere Music College of Prague collaborating on a selection of beloved symphonic works. Part of the Festival’s Community Programme, the tour gives aspiring young musicians the opportunity to perform and collaborate across national and cultural boundaries, and allows audiences across the UAE to engage with classical music in an intimate setting. The enthusiastic crowds gathered at the Abu Dhabi Theatre were treated to virtuoso solo performances by Ukrainian violinist Marta Hereha, the Korean National Youth Ensemble, and winners of the recent 2013 GCC Emirates International Peace Music Festival Competition.
