HOW ABOUT A RACE TO SPACE?

Yahsat Organises SatGames – A Race-To-Space Obstacle Challenge

Al Yah Satellite Communications Company “Yahsat”, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mubadala Investment Company, is hosting an exciting race-to-space Obstacle Challenge for the residents of UAE. It is set to take place on Friday, the 10th of August, from 2:30pm to 9:00pm at Du Forum, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.

The race mimics the launch journey of a satellite to space. Participating teams, comprising of 3 members each, will race against each other to assemble a satellite model, mount it on a rocket, and launch it safely to reach its orbit. The entire journey from start-to-finish involves a series of exciting challenges.

These challenges include:

  • passing through ramp slides,
  • overcoming foam blocks,
  • climbing walls,
  • using tunnels and swinging from one end to the other using slingshots.

The fastest team to overcome all challenges while keeping the satellite model intact will win the race. Want to know what awaits the winning team? An opportunity to visit John F. Kennedy Space Center as a part of a five days, all-expense paid trip to Florida. Other prizes include a MacBook Air laptop and a Samsung S9 phone.

The registration starts at 2:30 pm on the day of the event and the first race commences at 4:00 pm. Each game will last around 10 – 15 minutes. Additional games and food stalls will be present through the event to keep the visitors entertained

What are you waiting for? Choose your three musketeers and head over to Du Forum for the weekend of a lifetime. This is an event you do not want to miss!
