Launched a little over a year ago, ‘amongst few’ has already firmly established itself in Dubai’s burgeoning streetwear scene.
“What we wanted to bring to the table for ‘amongst few’ is high quality and attention to detail,” Flo, the co-founder of Amongst Few, told us. “We source all of our cotton in Perú, which has the best cotton. We also spend a lot of time doing quality tests until we get it right.”
For ‘amongst few’, perfection is in the details, with each new feature representing a new take on laid-back everyday essentials. Think bold and minimal-minded sweat pants, t-shirts, sweaters, and snapbacks. Accessories are similarly well-conceived; sneaker heads will go crazy for the quilted nylon duffel, which features a specially-designed hatch for keeping shoes fresh while on-the-go.
Beyond fashion, ‘amongst few’ also puts a lot of time into supporting the local arts and music scene. “I come from a background as a music producer, and my partner Mike is a DJ so that informs what we do,” Flo said.
Past events have included a backyard BBQ in Jumeirah and film screenings of classic urban films. “It’s super important to do work on the community label to create a culture and show people here what street wear is all about,” Flo said.
