NATIONAL DAY TRADITIONAL ROWING RACE

2 DECEMBER | ABU DHABI BREAKWATER

 

National Day Traditional Rowing Races for 40ft boats take place off the Corniche, finishing opposite the Heritage Village where there will be a traditional souk and entertainment including Ayalla dancing. The racing is under the patronage of HH Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, The President’s Representative and Chairman of the Emirates Heritage Club.

SHEIKH ZAYED HERITAGE FESTIVAL

The heritage festival is aptly named in honour of the UAE’s founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, in recognition of his pivotal role in preserving the nation’s proud history as a gateway to the future. The festival celebrates the UAE’s cultural inheritance, showcases the rich diversity of its traditions and provides an educational platform for everyone who wants to learn more about the history of this nation.

 

SATURDAY MARKET @ YAS MARINA

ONGOING UNTIL DEC 13 | ABU DHABI: YAS MARINA

 

Hosted at the picturesque Yas promenade, the monthly Saturday Market allows visitors to shop or to clear out their closets and sell unwanted items. The market features an eclectic mix of shopping with a pre-loved market and a car boot sale.

 

With quirky pop up shop vendors as well as fun children’s activities, the event brings the marina to life. You can stroll along the dockside promenade, enjoy live music, try out watersports and dine al fresco at one of the marina’s seven restaurants and bars.
