ABU DHABI INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION OF FLOWERS AND GARDENS

This exhibition offers a broad range of activities and events focused on the production and export of flowers and landscaping. Visitors will see some of the latest practices used in today’s gardening and floristry, as well as modern art in the production of flowers.  Timed to mark the UAE’s 44th National Day, Flowers 2015 is open to the public.

The internationally acclaimed and multi-platinum selling artist Ariana Grande will make her UAE debut in Abu Dhabi over the 44th UAE National Day weekend.

Following her worldwide success of the ‘The Honeymoon Tour’ which has been performed globally in over 75 cities, Ariana Grande will arrive in Abu Dhabi to enthrall audiences of all ages.

 

AL DHAFRA FESTIVAL 2015

7 – 30 DECEMBER

MADINAT ZAYED, AL GHARBIA

 

The festival inspired in its form and content by the authentic Bedouin spirit, is dedicated to the protection of environmental and historical heritage, and the strengthening of the bond between the past and the present of the UAE. The 9th edition of the festival is expected to draw a large attendance as it features more than 15 competitions and heritage activities, with prizes totaling more than Dh 55 million, including 225 cars.

 

UIM FORMULA 1 POWERBOAT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

10 – 11 DECEMBER

ABU DHABI BREAKWATER

 

This water sport championship has been compared to driving a F1 racecar at full speed over a ploughed field.  The event allows you to watch the Formula 1 Powerboats accelerate faster than most F1 cars – from standstill to 160 kph in only 4 seconds.

 

 

QATTARA ARTS CENTRE WORKSHOPS

The Al Qattara Arts Centre stages a wide variety of classes for all ages and creative backgrounds. The recently restored centre maintains a balance of traditional architecture with state-of-the-art facilities. It has a dedicated ‘dry studio’ for activities such as music classes and handicrafts, and a ‘wet studio’ for drawing and painting. The centre also integrates a fully-equipped pottery studio, a digital room for photography and computer classes, a spacious calligraphy studio, as well as an exhibition hall and library.
