We invite contributors to join the Tempo movement to build a more connected, more prosperous, more compassionate and more sustainable world. We look for writers who can share stories about community, inspiring people and cool projects . Remember, at Tempo we celebrate everyday people doing extraordinary things.
The value to you is that of giving back. To be a Tempo contributor, your stories will give you credit as writer, helping to build your online profile and your personal brand. We can also offer you a badge to use to promote yourself, and also a certificate.

TEMPO CONTRIBUTOR RULES
At all times you need to be mindful of Tempo’s Contributor Rules on stories to write:
- We don’t do hate. Nothing malicious, or hurtful of others.
- We unite people: no politics, religious extremism or divisive issues.
- We are truthful; no fake facts or stereotyping.
- We are thoughtful: insightful and spiritual stories are welcome.
- We are authentic: we are the anti-ChatGPT. No AI copy and paste.
- We love people: stories that promote diversity, understanding and harmony.
- We especially welcome stories about social impact entrepreneurs and startups.
- We like to look good: use photos that are of good quality.
- We are respectful: get permissions for photos and featured people if you need to.
- We promote you: please share your published Tempo stories on your social platforms.
- We want you to help your Tempo community: amplify each other’s stories as well.
- We don’t take PR releases: PR companies can channel stories to us separately here.
- We champion good journalism: once you develop a track record, we can give you a press pass card to attend and cover stories for Tempo.
- We are social: we have media assets that you are welcome to join, and even moderate.
- We build communities: let us know if you want to organize events and outreach campaigns.
- We love you: it’s ok to write about yourself 🙂
TEMPO CONTRIBUTOR PROCESS
Once you have filled out the form below we will review your application and then start onboarding:
SUBMITTING:
- Once you’re in, it is best to set up a routine, a calendar of what you want to write about.
- Send it here and once they’re accepted you can start submitting.
- You can send as many stories, or as few. Just get them OK’s first so you maximize your time.
- If you want to be an established contributor with greater control on the submission process then read the next section called “UPLOADING’.
- Sharing your story on social media is important. We will also amplify from our side.
UPLOADING:
- As an established contributor (and member of the editorial team) we will give you your own password-protected area to upload your story, or stories if you’re representing a community.
- The stories will be submitted for approval.
- We will direct you to a page that explains how to upload.
- Once your story is approved by our editors, it will go live.
- Sharing your story on social media is important. We will amplify from our side.
- Tempo is a supportive community, we would want you to share each others’ stories as well.
OTHER STUFF:
- Tempo as a volunteer community doesn’t offer payment, but the rewards are immense, giving you online visibility, credibility and personal brand building.
- We welcome sponsorships to the platform, and are happy to pay you a commission on any financial sponsorships you bring to platform. If you have ideas on this reach out directly here.
- We can offer corporate benefactors sponsored sections, provided they are in tune with our values.
