Abu Dhabi, February 27, 2013:
The Environment Agency -Abu Dhabi (EAD) is ramping up its efforts to ensure that industrial and developmental projects and ground users are complying with the environmental guidelines. These guidelines are listed on the permits the Agency issues and that it enforces throughout the permit lifecycle. EAD is the mandated entity in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi for permitting and inspecting projects to ensure their adherence to environmental guidelines throughout the lifecycle of the project. EAD also conducted 676 inspections of permitted facilities and 133 inspections for groundwater wells to ensure compliance.
