Abu Dhabi: Women leaders gathered at the Global Women’s Forum Dubai (GWFD) 2020 to tackle strategies for global gender balance, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and how to propel female entrepreneurship in the MENA region.
Speakers included Ivanka Trump advisor to the President of the United States; Theresa May, Member of Parliament and former Prime Minister of the UK; Kristalina Georgieva, managing director of the IMF; David Malpass, president of the World Bank Group; and over 100 leaders and experts from across the world.
Ivanka Trump met with UAE women leaders and entrepreneurs at an event hosted by US Ambassador Rakolta and attended by women ministers and business leaders including Reem Al Hashimy, Noura Al Kaabi, and Sarah Amiri as well as Tempo’s Managing Editor, Sana Bagersh.
The meeting was held at the Louvre Abu Dhabi.

The 2-day Global Women’s Forum Dubai (GWFD) 2020 was organized by the Dubai Women Establishment (DWE) under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai.
Topics included transformative strategies for global gender balance, the future of women at work during the Fourth Industrial Revolution, propelling female entrepreneurship in the MENA region, as well as women’s active role in government, and the importance of female engagement in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030.
