Abu Dhabi: The ninth annual TomTom Traffic Index showed Abu Dhabi as having the least congested traffic out of 416 cities in 57 countries in 2019.
TomTom, headquartered in Amsterdam is the CSR partner of Road Safety UAE. The recently released result ranked Abu Dhabi 410th globally with a congestion level of 10 per cent, a drop of 1 per cent from 2018.
The index ranked Dubai 265th with a congestion level of 21 per cent as compared to 23 per cent in 2018.

What can you do to keep congestions at a low?
- Use public transport: Abu Dhabi has an efficient network of buses plying to every possible destination. It is not only convenient to uses buses instead of personal cars, but highly economical. Saves your hard earned money.
- Be on time: This is one of the best advices on earth. If you need to be somewhere, leave on time. By doing this, you have good chance of enhancing your time-management skills each time you do so.
- Don’t bother about what others are doing: Don’t worry if your neighbour shoots off to office in his car every day. If you want to leave your car and take public transport or carpool, do it. Be mindful and happy about conserving the earth’s resources by restraining from driving to work every time.
