Portrait

Portrait photography, also called portraiture, involves taking a picture of a person or group of people – showcasing expression, personality and mood. While the main focus is the person’s face, the entire body and background could be included as well.  Portrait photography has existed since the invention of camera. Good quality portraits can be taken through the control of light in a studio or outdoors. To produce realistic portraiture a lens of between 80mm and 135mm is recommended. The lighting set up could be three-point lighting, key-light, fill light, kicker, accent-light, accessory light or others.
