I would like to dedicate this first article to a dear friend of mine and many others to Saeed who passed away last 22.2.2015. He was inspirational in every sense, a patriot and servant to his religion and country. Saeed was a true example of this very point in my book which is to get out of your safety net. He was always out of his safety net, doing charity work where he distributed bicycles to the ones who needed it the most. Saeed also took part in the Young Entrepreneurs Competition and printed shirts with Arabic poems on them. He celebrated the victory of Dubai winning the EXPO like no one has ever done before. He even helped start a non-profit organization called 1971 (the day the UAE became united).

Saeed organized a great event for the UAE national day at the American University in Dubai along with his colleagues and most importantly, he always took the initiative of helping others before they even asked for help. All of us are blessed with some resource either money, knowledge, network, status, etc. using that to support the greater good is the first step of getting out of our safety nets because we could extend that net to others in need.

Saeed wrote and read more Arabic poetry than he ever read a book. But I am proud to know that he was one of my biggest fans after he read my book that is one memory I’ll always cherish. His last words to me – “I am so proud of you brother, I believe in you in many things to come.” #Bestbrother #Iwillalwayshaveyourback
