Mother Earth and Covid-19

“The Hope Pandemic” series addresses the changing business climate and how we can go digital and shape a new world of sustainability, kindness and community.

Background and attribution: I got this piece from a friend who got it through a WhatsApp group – with no attribution. So I don’t know the original author. I rewrote it to improve language, messaging etc….

I posted it in Facebook and it was copied and shared many times over.

It seemed to resonate with many people. So I’m posting it here – with thanks to the original author…

It seems that we fell asleep in one world, and woke up in another…

Suddenly Disney is out of its magic, Paris is no longer romantic, New York is no longer awake, the Chinese wall is no longer a fortress, and Mecca is empty.

Hugs and kisses are unwelcome. Not visiting parents and friends has become an act of love.

Suddenly you realise that power, beauty and money mean nothing, and that you can’t even guarantee the oxygen you breathe.

The world continues its life and it is beautiful. Only humans are in cages.

Mother Earth sends us a clear message:

“You are not necessary. The air, earth, water and sky are all fine without you. When you come back, remember that you are not the masters, but my guests.”
