Set in a dedicated facility of 924 square meters, the VIP Terminal was launched in November 2014, in partnership with National Aviation Services (NAS). All passengers, regardless of their ticket class, destination or airline, can pay a set fee to enjoy the facility on departure, arrival or transit.
The VIP experience starts when the passengers arrive at the airport through a dedicated drop-off area accessed via a roadway built specifically to accommodate it. Highly trained service agents greet and welcome the passengers with Arabic coffee and dates. They are then guided to their private ‘Royal Majlis’, designed in a perfect fusion of Arabic and European styles, to offer a tranquil and luxurious environment.
The Majlis is equipped with state-of-the-art entertainment systems and Wi-Fi zones, as well as shower facilities, a business centre, library facilities and smoking lounge. A selection of snacks, canapé and beverages are available at the touch of a button. Last but not the least, passenger can also shop at Duty Free online through I-Pads as per their comfort and convenience.
While passengers are indulged in these great moments, the service agents look after the travel procedures and formalities, including checking in luggage and immigration, in the fastest manner possible. When it is time to board, a private Mercedes Benz limousine stands right next to the terminal’s exit to transfer the passengers from the VIP facility to the aircraft gates. The Limousine Service has a team of specially chosen professional chauffeurs.
When passengers touch down at Abu Dhabi International Airport, the limousine transports them in luxurious privacy from the aircraft to the VIP Terminal.
