Yoga teacher breaks new record for longest plank hold by female

Abu Dhabi: Most of us who have tried to reduce our tummy fat might have heard about how effective planking is to get the desired results. And we also know how difficult it is to hold our own body weight for longer than a minute. But Canada’s Dana Glowacka has officially broken the Guinness World Record for doing the longest plank – literally four hours, 19 minutes and 55 seconds to be precise. The yoga teacher’s feat at the 1st International Plank training Conference in Illinois in May 2019 also broke the record of ‘Longest Time in an Abdominal Plank Position by a female’. The previous record in the female category was held by Maria Kalimera in 2015 for three hours, 31 minutes. In 2019, Dana had initiated “The 4 Minutes Plank Challenge” where thousands of plank enthusiasts had participated.
