Young innovators set to display scientific skills in Abu Dhabi Science Festival 2020

Abu Dhabi: The tenth Abu Dhabi Science Festival will feature over 80 young innovators along with their projects, starting January 30 until February 8.

The festival is expected to receive over 120,000 visitors at three venues – A’l Bahar at Abu Dhabi Corniche, Al Jahili Park in Al Ain and the City Mall in Al Dhafra.

The annual science festival is organised by Abu Dhabi’s Department of Education and Knowledge (Adek) and will be open to school pupils from 9 am to 1 pm, and from 4 pm to 10 pm on weekdays. The festival will be open to the public on Friday and Saturday from 2 pm to 10 pm. Learn more about the festival here.

Adek’s initiative is aimed at generating interest in creativity, innovation and exploration in the minds of the next generation.

“The Abu Dhabi Science Festival inspires a spirit of discovery, innovation, and creativity in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics among the younger generation,” said Sanad Humaid, Adek’s official spokesperson for the science festival.

Students and members of the public are encouraged to attend the event in large numbers and benefit from the knowledge-sharing about the latest creations from young inventors and substantial developments made by the public and private sector in the field of science.

Last year’s festival had focused on the theme of art and innovation as well as the adoption of new ideas in engineering and mathematics.
