A Leadership Forum for Women
Women are constantly trying to define and redefine their role in society. They are sometimes perceived to be lagging behind men in the workforce, while taking on fewer roles in sectors such as science and engineering. For discuss these and other issues, WideView announces a Leadership Forum entitled “Women Today. Tomorrow.” that will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, 8 to 13 September, 2014.
The aim is to help women to re-establish themselves for what they are, rather than labeling themselves as “mother, wife, caregiver, career maker,” said the organizer. In reality women are sometimes struggling within society to prove their worth while in contrast they can be very successful business women, entrepreneurs and leaders, she added.
Conference sessions will include: The changing role of women in our society, Moving forward as leaders and entrepreneurs, Women in the media, Women in power and decision making, Gender equality, and more.

THE ADMAF COMIC ARTS AWARDS ENTRY SUBMISSIONS
1st July 2014 – 15th September 2014
The ADMAF Comic Art Award 2014 in association with Mubadala is open to all UAE citizens aged 18 years and above. Celebrating the very best in national comic arts, the inaugural edition of this annual competition is accepting entries until 15th September 2014.
The winning work will be announced at an official ceremony at the Mubadala Youth Forum 2014 on 21st October, before joining shortlisted entries for a tour of the UAE including an appearance at the ADMAF Pavilion at Abu Dhabi Art 2014, Middle East Film & Comic Con 2015, and the Abu Dhabi Festival 2015.

RAMADAN APPEAL
Help put food on the table for people this Ramadan!
Let’s all extend a helping hand in putting food on the table for families this Ramadan. Sadagaat is a charity initiative, which aims to feed thousands of impoverished Sudanese during the holy month of Ramadan. Its aim is to distribute Ramadan Packages that contains essential food items that will be enough to get a family of five through the 30 days of fasting. Each bag can be bought for a price of Dh 150. Sadagaat’s goal is to support 15,000 families this year.
