So whatever you’re celebrating, be it National Day, Christmas, New Year’s Day or just lovin’ life, Game Hedz wishes you a happy everything, and all the best for 2015.
Games of 2015
Impossible to know which will take off, here are the most anticipated games, and some that might escape your radar:
Zombies
Dying Light (Feb, cross-platform including old and new consoles), Dead Island 2 (cross-platform, new consoles only) and Inside (XBox One) all feed your undead appetite. Inside is from the makes of Limbo – dark, weird, mysterious stuff – and promises to be a creepy excursion into a world of brainwashed sheep. The first two are all about bashing brains. Nuff said.
Shooters
Halo 5: Guardians (Q4 XBox One) Battlefield: Hardline (March, cross-platform, old & new), Tom Clancy’s The Division (TBA, cross-platform, new only), Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (TBA, cross-platform, and & new) and the list could go on. But no. I think these are hit or miss really. I get a distinct more-of-the-same kinda feeling here, but if you’re into them, then that’s not a bad thing.
Adventure
Here’s where my money is. We’re talking Uncharted 4: Thief’s End (TBA, PS4), The Order:1886 (Feb, PS4), Bloodbourne (TBA, PS4) and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (Feb, cross-platform, new only). The game of the year is gonna be one of these. Ya heard me! I was right about The Last of Us – do not defy on this or you shall fail.
Keep an eye on these
Mario Maker (TBA, Wii U) is allows you to create your own Mario Brothers world. It could go unnoticed, or ride on the back of Minecraft’s addictive nature for those with a God complex (you know yourselves). Mighty No. 9 (April, every console and device imaginable) is an independent joint that’s getting a lot of buzz. In two words: OLD SCHOOL.
There are really too many games to mention, and your fave may not be here. Don’t worry, it’s waiting for you 2015.
