THE GROUP: ABU DHABI PHOTOGRAPHERS
NOTE: This time the theme was to capture the momentous memories of Abu Dhabi Beach Games Festival This enabled each member to be creative and experiment with different techniques and visual styles.
This festival, which was open to the public, was held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Nahyan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, which organises the event in conjunction with the Abu Dhabi Sailing and Yacht Club. The festival featured beach games, sports and leisure activities on the Abu Dhabi Sailing and Yacht Club beach on the Corniche Breakwater, next to the Heritage Village.
All activities were monitored by professional coaches who gave kids the chance to learn watersports. Adults weren’t forgotten there were also sailing and rowing races. The ADSYC has recently launched a sailing programme for special needs people and they will also be invited along to join in sailing under the guidance of professional coaches.
