Happy June!
While temperatures have started to creep up, they have not dampened our enthusiasm for things to do and ways share. This issue is full of stories by our amazing contributors, as well as a whole bunch of dreamers and doers… and for some reason it is women who rule this Tempo (sorry guys).
We have cover girl Kera Thompson who uses her design and writing to launch an online business of fair-trade handicrafts; there’s Amal Al Agroobi and her desire to tour her film on autism to reach out and educate remote communities; there’s empowerment coach Randa El Zein who inspires us with a story of triumph over pain; there’s yogini Ria Haffar who embraced yoga to spread the message of spiritual health; Dr. Connie of ZU who teaches sustainability by example; The Healing Twins Thea and Liana who promote the soulful music… and of course there’s also the touching story on art by female victims from the Ewa’a women’s shelter.
The dominant theme that runs through all the features is the sense that it is possible to follow your passion to create, innovate and build your livelihood, without losing sight of the importance of helping others. Great role models for us all!
Be happy, healthy and kind.
