Welcome to the
Tempo Impact Community
We call out to those who want to change the world, those who care about their communities, and believe in the transformative power of goodness. We want you to become a catalyst for change, to help spread ideas of people who are making a difference and projects that have the power to transform the future.
Tempo’s goal is to promote goodness, investment in it, interest in it, the spreading of it. and the celebration of it. We believe that sharing deas will demonstrate the human potential for love, sustainability and innovation. We know that goodness, once mass mobilized, can make this a better world for all of us.
SPREADING GOODNESS…
As a change agent you can participate to spread awareness within your community, and to share ideas of positive change, hopefully with the aim of encouraging more people to adopt these ideas and to live by them. We encourage you to share online with your family and friends, and to collaborate with schools, universities, artists, innovators and community groups.
THERE ARE 3 WAYS TO BECOME A CHANGE AGENT:
TEMPO CHAMPION
These are community
builders who lead
their own group of
change-agents who
could be influencers
or amplifiers.
TEMPO INFLUENCER
These are those who
write content on
Tempo’s four key areas
or who identify these
stories and ideas for
sharing.
TEMPO AMPLIFIER
These are the sharers
who spread ideas of
goodness across their own social media platforms
and encourage others
to do the same.
GOODNESS KNOWS NO BOUNDS!
At any of these levels, you will have a Tempo profile, and also a Tempo badge that shows your name,
your designation and should you want it, your social media handles as well. So by participating at any level, Tempo will celebrate you as we all collaborate to celebrate others.
THE TEMPO FIVE TOPICS:
THE TEMPO FIVE TOPICS WE FOCUS ON:
- GAME CHANGERS: These are stories about extraordinary people whose acts of kindness or genius have transformed the lives of others.
- GOOD VIBES: These are stories of ideas or projects, or people who have made a big difference to improve the lives of others. This would be something that has made life easier/ better for an unrepresented or disadvantaged segment of the population.
- PLANETARIANS: These are ideas that are good for the planet, whether in the areas of recycling/ repurposing, zero waste initiatives, curbing climate change, enhancing food security etc. These include case studies in sustainability that work and the can be duplicated.
- BIG IDEAS: These are new and innovative ideas, products or projects and how their impact makes the world better.
- RESILIENCE: These are ideas, projects and especially case studies that make communities, people and the world stronger.
Notes to writers/amplifiers:
- Often, a story may tick more than one of the Temp Five topics, such as a cool idea that also sustainable, or a story of an act of generosity that shaped a more resilient community.
- Stories should ideally be accompanied by a photo or an image. This should be of the subject, or product, company logo, whatever, that relates to the story. In the event that there is no available photo, then an image that is appropriate for the story can be used from any of the public photo libraries, provided that the photo is in the public domain and the correct attribution is given.
- Stories promoted from other sites viewed must be corroborated for accuracy, and the original author tagged so they are aware they are being promoted. No plagiarism is acceptable.
- Every attempt should be made to tag (via social media), the person being celebrated/ promoted so that they can in turn amplify the post – this way we can maximize the spreading of goodness.
- Once you have decided how you want to be involved, Tempo will provide you with access to post the stories, along with your name and profile. A branded toolkit will also be given to you to adapt your content for social media.
- We need to stay away from politics and divisive topics. Our aim is to create a spirit of unity, collaboration and harmony.
