Egyptian singer and songwriter Sarah El Gohary is bursting on to the music scene in style – signing a new deal with Universal Music MENA and releasing her first Arabic original e-single “HIGH هاي” with an official music video on July 14th 2017, showcasing Sarah’s knack for writing heartfelt lyrics.
Sarah is a fresh take on the alternative indie pop scene, whilst keeping her Egyptian roots at the very heart of her music. Her seamless vocal harmonies and pop sensibility add a unique twist to her identity and musical trend.
Written by Sarah, “HIGH هاي” is worked by the renowned Pakistani record producer Talal Qureshi and the video is directed by the distinguished Palestinian filmmaker Ahmad Samara. The concept of the music video revolves around the idea of oneness – music being the language of all nations regardless of backgrounds. It simply celebrates cultures and unites the world through music and dance.
“It’s refreshing to listen to Gohary’s music, and the market is hungry for unique sounds and yet with rich cultural diversity. We are dedicated to pave the way and provide opportunities to local talents, and Gohary certainly has an interesting mix of Arabic, electronic and African tunes. We are excited to have Sarah joining our roster”, commented Patrick Boulos, Universal Music MENA CEO.
