Get organised

Get Organized!
1.      Go with the Flow: Keep a clear idea of all tasks that are coming in. Work on each of them to maintain the workflow and avoid cluttering your mind. Make quick decisions about what to do and get things done to keep the flow of work smooth.
2.      Do not Overload: Too much burden affects work performance and creates fatigue, resulting in poor performance. Manage your tasks on the basis of priority and put forth your best efforts. Making a to-do list each day may help. Divide your tasks by the available time and perform each accordingly.
3.      Do not Multi-task: Focus on a single task at a time to achieve optimum results. People think that multi-tasking will save time but in fact, it consumes more time as you try to wind up multiple things and don’t focus on any of them.
4.      Time management: Depending on your performance, decide which time of the day you feel more productive and fresh. Keep the most important tasks for that time of the day. Some people perform best early morning while others do their best in the afternoon.
5.      Educate yourself: There is no age limit to gain knowledge and we learn throughout our lives. Lack of profound knowledge leads to disorganization. Make it your mission to educate yourself; be willing to pursue knowledge beyond the framed degree that hangs on your office wall. Then, put that knowledge into practice.

Great time Management tip # 2:

Be disciplined about office chitchat. Don’t be side tracked by idle talk with colleagues. While some interaction is healthy and desirable, excessive socializing can throw your work targets off. Learn to be firm with friends and colleagues by saying, “While I would love to socialize with you, I have some work that needs my immediate attention.” Or you could also suggest that you get together after work to chat at leisure.
