What is Flash Fiction?
Flash Fiction is a unique genre of storytelling that happens quickly, in a flash. It is a very short, imagined story that instills a sense of surprise, tension, mystery, or drama, or all these and then… it’s over.
The Rules?
In 750 words or less, produce a well-crafted piece of Flash Fiction (ie., Short Story) with the theme: Culture.
Submissions should be in English and should be sent as a WORD document. One submission per writer.
The Word document should include:
- A Cover page with the following details: Title of the story, Author, Address, Email Address, Phone Number
- Story should not exceed 750 words, not including the title and cover page. Any submissions over 750 words will be disqualified.
- Font Size is 12 and Font Face should be Times New Roman.
The Deadline:
Deadline is 28th of February, 2017 by 23hrs 59mins.
The Process:
16 writers will be chosen as finalists to read their work in a public venue.
The Awards:
Two awards will be given out at the end of the evening:
One for Best Story, and one for Best Dramatic Reading.
