Scene of fashion

Two fashion designers, Manar Al Hinai, an Emirati fashion designer and Ruksana Ajir, an Indian fashion designer picks their favorite designs from the latest trends.

1-aa 1-ba

1 a. vs 1b.

The pieces refer to Jimi Hendrix’s legendary flamboyant style while weaving in futuristic and astrological influences. The overall tone is dressy and hedonistic, with plenty of contemporary rock chic and dash of other- worldly eccentricity.

Manar: (1B)Because of the use of velvet that adds a rich texture to the suit yet maintaining its simplicity.
Ruksana: (1a) Since there was an attitude in the entire look which was modern in its wearability. The contrast blue collar & lapel of the blazer is an excellent mixing of varying scales of colors.  Teamed up with a narrow fitted pants in glossy jacquard’s gives the entire silhouette a sharp and sturdy look.

2-aa 2-ba

2a. vs 2b.

Nurek dazzled with a collection of black contemporary ball gowns and dresses worked with intricate gold motifs. The stunningly beautiful creations boasted flowing lines, tapered waists and stunning gold embroidery that hypnotized against its black fabric backdrops. The beautifully fitted creations are part of Nurek’s Black and Gold evening wear line. The simplicity of the two-tone theme sits in stark contrast to the obvious complexity of the fabric and embossed patterns.

Manar: (2A)I love how it’s original and mixes different types of fabrics: tulle, and embroidery work, while also rocking one of the season’s hottest trends: embellished collars.
Ruksana: I love 2-a because of its eccentric and beautifully executed delicate details. This piece of couture is definitely worth to hold on for. With its fascinating delicate details in cut out lace, tulle and contrasting gold embroidery makes it anybody’s personal favorite.

3-aa 3-ba

3a. vs 3b.

Ted Baker’s coveted coat designs should be worn as statement pieces. In leather and faux fur, cropped jackets are distinctly feminine whilst decorative buttons and flattering cuts make trench coats and classic-double-breasted coats stand out from the crowd.

Manar: (3B)Red is winter’s key color and this cut also accentuates the waist and flatters the body, and would look good worn with a pair of trousers or over a nice mini dress.
Ruksana: I prefer 3-b as it is very trendy and can be worn everyday this winter with a beige or black jeans for a casual look and for the evening with a dress teamed up with heels for a sophisticated look. This statement Bold red trench coat features a ladylike silhouette with a flayered skirt and tie belt around the waist.
